Emil Michael As An Accomplished Entrepreneur

With a Bachelor of Arts in government from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor in law from Stanford Law School, businessman and entrepreneur Emil Michael immediately set his started his path on the right foot.

He began his career at the famed Goldman Sachs, where he remained for just more than one year in the role of Investment Banking Associate, specifically working within the Communications, Media and Technology Group. He then moved onto an extensive history with Tellme Networks -- nine years -- as Senior Vice President of Field Operations. Following this role, Michael worked for the nation’s government as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, a position he held for nearly a year and a half.

In January 2011, Michael moved into entrepreneurship as President of Technology Advisory and Consulting Services. This role included acting as advisor to numerous companies such as ChatID, Flipboard, LendingHome, Mercaris, Oyster, Signnow and ZenPayroll. Investments in this position included Boku, Fonality, Jelli, Koality, SweetGreen, Swipely and ThinkFuse. The well-rounded position encompassed technology with startups, such as business strategy, corporate and business development and operations. He remained in the position through July 2012, but gained a significant penchant for investments.

Following an additional position with Klout, Michael joined Uber as SVP of Business in September 2013. His work across these roles and as an investor/advisor has gained him significant notoriety, including his personal investments in companies such as Kidizen, AnyRoad, Xoopit and Playfab.
